Summertime is the time to travel and have some fun! During a trip to the Massif Central in France, I met the owners of “Le Buis”, a gîte (French B&B) and produced a photo reportage for them to showcase their business.

Below are a few of the images:

Photographing gîtes and bed & breakfast:

This is a chance to highlight the different services a professional events photographer can offer to hoteliers. Often, when we reserve a hotel, we are surprised by the difference between the photos and what we actually see once we arrive.

Here is a comparison of images produced by the owner (before) and by me (after).

With my images, the owners of this French gîte have photos which genuinely reflect their gîte. People who visit their website can better imagine themselves in this place in the future.
Whether it’s exterior or interior images, it’s important to have the right look and to pay particular attention to getting a sense of space, setting and atmosphere across to visitors in order to best show off the lodgings.
By using the services of a professional photographer, the owners can get exterior shots of their gîte or hotel, a new perspective with showcases architecture, the surroundings and the décor.
The shoot is an important stage which needs to be prepared for (arranging the room, lighting, fine-tuning little decorative details, etc). After that, it’s time for editing, post production and retouching. These stages do not mean transforming the gîte or hotel into something else, but rather making them pleasant to look at (and avoiding, for example a big contrast in lighting between interior and exterior images).
