The 20th Celebrity petanque* competition took place at Spa on Saturday 28th May 2016. Having previously photographed last year’s event as events photographer, I was very pleased to cover the tournament again this year, once again for Referenceur.be, one of the official sponsors.

For this sport-themed day, many well-known faces and business leaders came to Spa to play petanque. This gathering was an opportunity to introduce businesses to influential people.

Organised by PNO2, this event was a chance to have a fun, enjoyable day while networking.

This year, a few celebrities such as Jean-Pierre Castaldi, Jean-Luc Couchard, Stéphane Pauwels, Les Gauff’. Cécile de Ménibus, Kiki l’innocent alias Martin Charlier and James Deano took part.

Below, a few photos I took from this event.

* Pétanque is a form of boules where players take turns to toss or roll hollow steel balls as close as possible to a small wooden ball called a cochonnet (literally piglet) while standing in a circle with both feet on the ground.
